Never heard of any trashing there LCD, I guess it's a very theoretical
possibility.

In my experience modern chipsets automatically adjust the refresh rate to be
within the LCDs specs.

(At least on my Compaq Armada M700, ATI rage mobility chipset, and TFT).

Hi
I just wanna hear if there is someone that is using XFree86 on a Compaq
Armada 7400. I haven't tried setting it up yet.. but just wanted some hints
in the setup of the graphic card, since i don't wanna fry my lcd display by
accident.
