        Ah hell, I guess I should have added that smiley anyway :-)

        Perl _IS_ fast -- but it IS slow at LAUNCH time. It runs
        very fast after. Ambiguous formulation.

        My first statement was tongue-in-cheek (I don't know the
        Danish equivalent for that -- straight faced humor ?).

        Of course I didn't go out and measure how long it
        takes for a MUA written in Perl to run -- that would mean
        I _had_ written the MUA in the first place, and Lasse
        would be grateful :-)

        You came up with great statistics -- so to answer your question:

        - I don't back up my claims about 100% CPU, 1 minute and
                25 MB of RAM :-)

        
        Anyway, this is pointless -- if I had such a grudge against
        Perl, why would I program in it and use:

        - majordomo
        - majorcool
        - MHonArc
        - MRTG

        etc...
