Jeg får meldinger om en harddisk fejl på min hjemme-server. Fejlen er:
ad0s1a: hard error reading fsbn 1551 of 736-767 (ad0s1 bn 1551; cn 0 tn 24 sn 39) status=59 error=40
Samt fejlene indsat sidst i denne e-mail, som kommer i mit daglige Security run output fre periodic.
Så vidt jeg har kunnet google mig frem til, kunne der enten være tale om kommunikationsfejl eller dårlige sektorer. Harddisken er en 2,5" som har kørt 24/7 i snart 2½ år, og fejlene er først dukket op for et par måneder siden. Her kommer spørgsmålene:
- Der er vel tale om dårlige sektorer? Eller kan det være noget andet, som kan repareres uden udskiftning af hardware?
- Kan det "repareres" midlertidigt med fsck? Jeg har indtil videre ikke turdet prøve, af frygt for datatab og manglende erfaringer med fsck. Min umiddelbare plan er at reinstallere på en ny harddisk, og så hive data ind fra en backup, men jeg mangler tiden til at gøre det lige nu, så en midlertidig løsning er bedre end ingenting.
Hvis nogen er interesseret i øvrigt, er serveren en "quiet cupid" - magen til den på http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/quietcubid/ - hvilket forklarer brugen af en 2,5" disk...
