Also do you need 50+ updates every second or meybe just 50+ updates for
2 - 3 seconds between christmas and newyear.
And of course is it a good old 486 or the nice 2100 MHz Xeon thing. How
big is the database. Is it a dedicated server.

I sugest you try and tell us how it went

        It of course depends on things like the type of update --
        things like subselects in the updates can significantly slow
        them down.
