Hi,
Here is my setup ->
4 mail servers in round rubbin.
1 nfs shares for each mail server (mailq)
Rest doesnt matter.
---- xxx /MQUEUE#ls -la | egrep '(74581|75280|77630|78617)' ; -rw------- 1 root wheel 316945 Feb 24 17:07 dfRAA74581 -rw------- 1 root wheel 316945 Feb 24 17:08 dfRAA75280 -rw------- 1 root wheel 316945 Feb 24 17:12 dfRAA77630 -rw------- 1 root wheel 316945 Feb 24 17:13 dfRAA78617 -rw------- 1 root wheel 1003 Feb 25 14:31 qfRAA74581 -rw------- 1 root wheel 1004 Feb 25 14:30 qfRAA75280 -rw------- 1 root wheel 1008 Feb 25 14:31 qfRAA77630 -rw------- 1 root wheel 1017 Feb 25 14:31 qfRAA78617 xxx /MQUEUE# --
As you can see I get duplicates of some mails. The timestamps im not sure about, if they are correct or not.
I have tried to look through the sendmail.cf file but without luck. I was hoping someone could help out here. This happens on all 4 mailservers.
It seems like everytime I get a no-I-dont-want-your-big-mail from the recivers mailserver, I get a duplicate in my mailq. When the mail is like 23 mb and I get like 400 copies, im outta space :(
Same thing goes for mails which cant be delivered for some other reason.
To me it seems like the mailserver cant deliver the mail back to the author and/or make the dead.letter file, but again im not sure.
Hope this info is enough.
Help.
