I've hear that the ip adress on the netexpress is changed
very often in order to aviod netexpress users to offer any
services on the netexpress. This will sell more proacceess
products....
However it's more or less
unlikley that TDC will change the products just because
we are not satisfied.
But what about workarounds....
A lot of TDC people is on this list. can someone tell
me if it's possible to get the ADSL modem software
upgraded in order to enable the ethernet port (without
cost)...but that would not help since the ip adress
belongs to the atm interface - or does it?
Alternatively, can TDC provide extra ipadress in the
same class as my Speedstream router so I can have one
IP number where I have control?. I would use this for
running an socks server which is not possible in the
configuration I have today due to the ip numbering
i'm bound to.
Or is there another way to get control of the ip
number and the traffic that belongs to it which is
not 25Mb ATM?
