        Bad tuning ?

        Typically, people tune / forget to tune Apache in a stupid way,
        with bloated features like mod_perl, etc...

        i.e.: 500 processes is way too much for most systems, especially
        if you don't (like most people) put rlimits on the proc. resources...

        Also, MaxRequestsPerChild helps...

        Anyway -- what are you telling us here ? That a good OS badly tuned will
        be in deep shit when the elephants come a'runnin' ? :)
